CAHSEE Math

This course was designed to prepare students for success on the math portion of the California High School Exit Exam. CAHSEE Math can make a significant difference for students who are striving to meet California graduation requirements. Students can take the entire course to achieve proficiency in math fundamentals, or they may need to review only specific lessons. Lesson quizzes and the comprehensive exam can be used to assess mastery of the concepts. In addition to providing the essential instruction, CAHSEE Math incorporates the following cutting-edge and interactive features:

  • Contextualized content and relevant external websites that connect math to real life
  • Simulated blackboard that presents step-by-step examples
  • Interactive geometry software that allows students to manipulate variables and graph points with immediate feedback
  • Writing assignments and discussion groups
  • Computer-graded self-checks, quizzes, and final exam

CAHSEE Math A
The first semester of CAHSEE Math includes three modules. Students gain a foundational understanding of fractions, decimals, percents, and integers in the first module. The second module focuses on statistics, data analysis, and probability, and the third module presents algebra and functions.
Scope and Sequence

CAHSEE Math B
The final two modules of CAHSEE Math are completed in CAHSEE Math B. Students learn the basics of measurement and geometry with a focus on conversion and solving geometric problems and how geometry relates to everyday life, and the final module expands students' algebra skills.
